Paul Tillinghast. Paul’s early years were spent in Maryland near Washington, DC and he started photographing as a teenager. He now lives in New York City, where he is a commercial photographer and artist.  Paul was self-taught through reading, especially Ansel Adams Zone System books. Paul’s subjects have ranged from his early photos of circus people to today’s digitally manipulated photography. His earlier black and white prints have been collected by the Corcoran Gallery of Art Washington, DC and Erie Art Museum in Erie, PA. He currently shows at Marion Royael Gallery in Beacon, NY and W22 Galeria in San Jose, Costa Rica.
