My name is Evaldas Gulbinas. I am a fine artist and tattooist based in London,UK. Originally I am from Kedainiai City, Lithuania. I create sculptures / installations and paintings using graphic shapes, bright block colours and playful tactile composition. My passion is for both detailed work and non-figurative objects. In the studio I try to break down boundaries to discover relationships between ideas and materials. I get inspired from daily life, especially the people or customers I talk to daily in my job as a tattoo artist. I work in a tattoo studio five days a week in central London, UK. The other time I spend thinking of and creating art pieces. I feel sometimes that I am between two worlds: The tattoo and art worlds.

In my opinion, it is a very good match to be in both. From tattooing you take some skills and add to it fine art, or from fine art to tattooing. I think all of my life I have been in a creative atmosphere. After graduating from two art schools in Lithuania I traveled to London. There I started tattooing through tattoo apprenticeship and began working as a professional tattoo artist in many studios throughout London. At the same time, I completed a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at West Thames College, London. I then completed a BA in Honors Fine Art and Mixed Media at the University of Westminster, London.. So for the last few years, I have been studying arts and tattooing as well making lots of art exhibitions. At the moment, I am focusing on my art by trying to merge all of this together and create new unique style. I love working in the tattoo studio, it helps me to communicate with people, explore different creativity, make money, get strong drawing skills, and explore new styles.
