ANDALUZ The Artist!
Andaluz later went on to attend SUNY Old Westbury College, where he studied Liberal Arts for 2 years. Afterwards, he continued his education at the Fashion Institute of Technology furthering his knowledge into the fine arts. Obtaining and refining his skills, Efren established his own business in 2009 called On Da Loose Inc. Nonetheless, Efren experienced more emotional downfalls in 2012 when his best friend Daron Trollinger was murdered and in 2014 when his childhood friend Jerry Suazo committed suicide. Daron and Jerry were brothers to Efren and growing up so closely with them made him think they were invincible. Stress and grievance made the artist take more value for his life and for what it's worth. Realizing that life
Born on October 8th, 1986 in Queens, NY, Efren Guillermo Andaluz is a multifaceted artist. Raised in the heart of Queens by Mercedes and Efren Andaluz Sr. II, he has become an originator through his fashion, art, and music. Known as Andaluz the Artist, Efren started his life driven by artists in his family such as his grandfather, Efren Andaluz the 1st and his mother's oldest brother, Robin Rodriquez. In the wake of their influence watching them sketch cartoon and comic characters, Efren started when he was 4 years old to sketch and draw pictures he saw. This was just the beginning of the never-ending journey for the infamous Andaluz the Artist.
Growing up Efren received much support from his family and close friends. However, there were points in middle school and high school when it became tough and he had many altercations with his peers. In the year 2000 he lost both of his inspirations for drawing, his grandfather and his uncle. He used art as a distraction to the harshness of life. Despite the difficulty, he still found a way to maneuver through the years with the support of a caring teacher by the name Mrs. Amawaka. She was a teacher that understood his issue and encouraged him to use his artistic talents for good use. It was then that Mrs. Amawaka and his family members persisted and motivated Efren to take his skills to the next level.
